The V8-powered IHC tractors are not the most powerful nor the most efficient models for their times, but the double stacks and the throaty V8 rumble make the 1468s and 1568s extremely popular with collectors. This 1974 1568 came back to life after a phone call and a long hunt. The call came from a neighbor, who told the owner he found the tractor buried in a shed. The owner went to look at it and discovered the machine had no fenders, a tattered cab, and the world’s worst paint job. They bought the tractor on the spot. The tractor was completely restored, and took many years to complete as the family spent a lot of time hunting for the correct parts. The hunt was worthwhile—the end result is a show piece.
