Corn College Adds One-Day Event

Jul 31, 2009
The July Corn College sessions were so popular that Farm Journal created a special one-day Corn College event to accommodate other farmers who would like to attend. The Aug. 31 event features a condensed curriculum that includes the most popular and the most powerful parts of the two-day event.

“We’ve actually worked in a new session with Ken Ferrie to offer more question-and-answer time, something that the July attendees asked us to do,” says Charlene Finck, Farm Journal Editor, who works closely with Ferrie to organize the event. “The one-day session is a convenient way for farmers to attend Corn College on Monday and then head down to Farm Progress Show, which is less than 30 minutes away, on Tuesday.”

Led by Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie, the event promises to provide take-to-the-field knowledge. This special event will take place at the Corn College site near Bloomington, Ill.

Highlights of the event:

• Hands-on training in the field and in the classroom
• Visit exclusive Farm Journal demonstration plots
• New curriculum for 2008 graduates
• Attendance is limited to 200 farmers, so reserve today

Early bird registration is $199 through Aug. 21.
Regular registration is $249

You must pre-register for this event.
