The 2012 Farm Journal Forum will focus on "The Election's Impact on Modern Agriculture's Ability to Feed the World." The stakes are high for agriculture to deliver on its responsibility to feed the world's burgeoning population while preserving and maximizing resources. Achieving global food security for what the United Nations predicts will be 9 billion people by 2050 is a complex, daunting challenge.
Succeeding in that goal with sustainability requires a broad-based understanding of the challenges and solutions as well as the regulatory and judicial environments that are conducive to agriculture's success.
Fostering that understanding in a politically charged, polarized environment requires honest dialogue in a neutral, independent venue such as the Farm Journal Forum, an event that has a distinguished history of assembling top-level leaders from industry, government, nonprofits and other organizations to discuss the most important issues facing agriculture.
