Girls Who Know Farming

Their dad sales for KanEquip in Ellsworth, so the girls know all about combines, swathers, and tractors. My husband's side of the family are all farmers, so we always look forward to wheat harvest time, such a fun experience for the girls.

Passion in Life: Farming
Meet Hunter. His passion in life right now is farming! He "farms" from sunup to sundown if we let him! So it seemed fitting that again, we had a farm-themed birthday party. Hunter is a big fan of riding in the combine, checking cows and riding the horses. Hunter playing in the "corn" at his birthday party. I no longer park in the garage so he can keep this farming area intact! As you can see, he thoroughly enjoyed driving his tractors through the corn!

A Farm Boy at Heart
My 3-year-old son, Madden, is the cutest little farm boy. Though we live in the suburbs of Denver, CO, he acts as if he has lived on a farm forever. Every time we go to visit my parents on their farm in Harvey, North Dakota, he's up before everyone else, dressed in his John Deere gear, & ready to go help Papa and Uncle outside. No matter if they're working cattle or hauling grain, he follows behind eager to help in any way! Every time we're in the car, he can spot a tractor or any other farm equipment a mile away...and the excitement in his voice is so cute! There is a John Deere dealership in my parents town and he always asks to go drive by the "John Deere Store" For his 3rd birthday, everything had to be John Deere. We had John Deere napkins, John Deere balloons, John Deere serving platter, John Deere party hats, John Deere party streamer, and even a John Deere cake. What can I say...he's a farm boy at heart!
