Mother and Daughter Pair Determined to Prepare for Succession

March 19, 2012

Mother and daughter pair Alyssa Cain and Diana Finley spent two days in the car driving from Colorado City, Texas, to make it to the Farm Journal Legacy Project meet in St. Louis last week.

Alyssa who hopes to return home and farm dry land cotton with her dad is highly motivated to begin the succession planning process for their family. Diana suggested the pair travel nearly 850 miles to spend a day with Kevin Spafford, Farm Journal’s succession planning expert.

They say that the drive was worth it because they now feel armed with the tools to take the next steps in the process of planning for a successful transition between generations.
