This Magazine Is Made for You

April 28, 2012

The Farm Journal you’re holding was specially made just for you. It may look like others delivered to mailboxes in your neighborhood, but unless the farm down the road raises exactly what you do, the books aren’t the same. That’s because we use a high-tech, computerized assembly line at our printer to customize each magazine to match the farmer or rancher who reads it. Even though we create stories covering everything from cattle to corn and a myriad of crops in between, you receive only articles relevant to your operation. Our goal: to provide timely information you can use from the moment the magazine reaches you.

Believe it or not, you are the key to making that possible—and have been since we started our selectronic binding in 1982. You actually "order" the magazine you receive when you graciously share information about your operation. The answers you provide when you fill out our demographic survey or talk to one of our customer care center folks tell us how to tailor the magazine. That info is embedded in your address label and guides the printer. As changes in agriculture accelerate and crop acres shift, that open line of communication is especially important! Our editors listen to what you tell us—and respond.
