Boyce Thompson is the editorial director of AgWeb, owned by Farm Journal Media. With more than 500,000 unique monthly visitors and 5 million page views, AgWeb is the leading online information portal serving agriculture. Its diverse daily offering includes television programs (AgDay and U.S. Farm Report), radio shows (AgWeb Radio, Straight from the Heartland and Consumer Ag Connection), breaking news articles and comprehensive market data.

Thompson has more than 33 years of experience as an editor and writer for business publications. He began his career as a Washington correspondent for a collection of magazines owned by Cahners Publications. Until recently, he served as editorial director for Hanley Wood, LLC, directing the company’s editorial council. In this role, he also guided Builder magazine, which was named the best business publication in America in 2010 by the Association of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). He is the founding editor of Residential Architect, Digital Home, ProSales, Big Builder, and ihousing magazines. His freelance work has appeared in The Washington Post, Governing, and Practical Homeowner, among other publications.

In 2008, Thompson was award the Crain Award by American Business Media for a lifetime of achievement in b-to-b media. In 2010, he was inducted into the Editorial Hall of Fame by min magazine, a magazine for publication professionals. Thompson holds a BA in English from the University of Missouri and a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
