Frontier Study Tour: Panama Canal Expansion Will Test U.S. Infrastructure

Attendees of the Top Producer Frontier Study Tour were able to witness the expansion of the Panama Canal. The expansion project holds many opportunities for U.S. farmers.
 
Alberto Alleman, the administrator for the Panama Canal Authority, says the expansion will create incredible efficiencies for shipping U.S. grain.
 
While this means increased efficiencies for products shipping through the canal, it means there will be challenges for the United States and its port system.
