Double-Planting Made Easy
John Deere adds to its DB Series planter lineup with the DB60 Split-Row Planter. The DB60 combines the flexibility to plant one crop at 30" rows and a second crop at 15" rows with the productivity of a bulk-fill planter. The planter configurations include 47-row 15" and 24-row 30" planting capabilities. Long parallel arms stagger the rows so they can be locked up and out of the soil during 30" row planting. The machine is equipped with John Deere's Central Commodity System (CCS) seed delivery and
Pro-Series XP row units. List price: $235,355 with CCS, SeedStar2 monitoring and ProMax40 flat disks and soybean disks. Contact: a John Deere dealer; www.johndeere.com/ag.
Disk Mower Expansion
The H6700 Series of heavy-duty disk mowers expands New Holland's lineup of hay tools. The cutting width for the pull-type mowers ranges from 6'8" to 10'4". The series feature a MowMax cutterbar, which cuts lower and cleaner with less tilt and scalping while also isolating and containing damage from obstructions within the module. ShockPRO disk drive hubs protect the cutterbar drive components from shock loads. Each of the oval-shaped cutting disks has two high-quality double-edged, reversible steel knives. Horsepower requirements range from 45 PTO hp to 60 PTO hp. Base price: $8,219 to $10,386. Contact: a New Holland dealer; (866) 639-4563; www.newholland.com/na.
