Top Features of a New Compact Track Loader

Attendees of the National Farm Machinery got the first glimpse of a brand-new machine – Kubota's compact track loader.

The loader comes in two models, the SVL 75, which has 74.5 hp, and the SVL 90, which clocks in at 90 hp.

Charlie Egli, Kubota regional sales manager, says the machine is being mostly targeted as a construction unit, but has farmer uses as well.

Here's a tour of the top features:

An extremely wide cab is a prominent feature of the machine. "The cab is large and comfortable," Egli says. "This helps increase productivity."

In addition, the rear visibility is improved by the wide cab. Egli says users can see up to 9 feet behind them.

The cab also tilts into two different positions for easy service.

The engine compartment is guarded by a metal door that can be locked for security. The door swings open to provide any easy path to the engine, radiator and other equipment.

The radiator can fold out 20 degrees for maintenance.

Egli says keeping tracks clean and debris-free is always a challenge with track loaders. To help keep these areas clean, the track has a tapered top and is mostly open for easy access.

For easy transport, the compact track loaders have tie-downs on all four corners of the machine.

Egli says the new machines will be shipping to U.S. dealers in June. Later in the year, he says, a heating and air condition option will be available.
