Around 250,000 Indianapolis 500 fans will have an opportunity to get a firsthand look at the ingredients involved in food production and what it will take to feed a growing population. The Farmers Feeding the World mobile exhibit makes its debut at the legendary race’s centennial anniversary.
Farmers Feeding the World, an initiative of the Farm Journal Foundation, kicked off a mobile tour that hopes to reach nearly 1 million consumers over the summer. The exhibit features facts about food production, educational videos, and interactive demonstrations. Adults and children alike will leave encouraged to dream huge and to help meet the global hunger challenge.
The exhibit will be at the Indy 500 until Sunday and then will continue its tour of the Midwest. Future stops include the Country Music Festival in Nashville, June 9-12, and the Taste of Chicago Festival, June 25 – July 3.
