Cattle producers and beef industry professionals continue to embrace mobile technology, and the CattleFax Mobile App is becoming a must-have application on their devices.

The application exceeded 50,000 downloads just ahead of the program’s one-year anniversary, and version 3.0 of the smartphone and tablet application will be released on the Apple App Store and Google Play in conjunction with the 2014 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show.

The latest update is optimized for Apple iOS7 users – including an enhanced layout and design. The mobile application features a new affiliates section with information from Superior Livestock Auction, Kansas Livestock Association and the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association.

Futures markets continue to be the most frequently used section of the application, and users will notice enhanced charting ability for individual futures contract prices.

"Cattle producers do not have the time to sit in front of a computer to dissect the markets," said Randy Blach, CEO, CattleFax. "They make decisions on the go, and the CattleFax Mobie App makes it easier for cattle producers to access timely market prices, news, analysis and research.

"The latest version of the application offers enhanced organization and an updated layout," noted Blach. "Partnering with other industry affiliates also adds to the user experience. Video auction results and news from state livestock associations simply enhances the apps appeal."

The app provides real-time information on markets, weather and industry trends. Sponsoring partner Zoetis is delivering content on animal health and management through the app. This powerful combination of business, cattle and operational management information makes the app a must-have for producers and industry members.

CattleFax members can sign into the app using their membership e-mail and password to unlock exclusive content, but most features are available to all users.

During the next 30-days, non-members will have unlimited access to all application features. As part of this promotion, CattleFax is also offering new members an opportunity to purchase a two-year membership for the price of a one-year membership.
