Don’t Miss the 2011 Farm Journal Forum

The stakes are high for agriculture to deliver on its responsibility to feed the world's burgeoning population while preserving and maximizing resources. Achieving global food security for what the United Nations predicts will be 9 billion people by 2050 is a complex, daunting challenge.

Succeeding in that goal with sustainability requires a broad-based understanding of the challenges and solutions as well as the regulatory and judicial environments that are conducive to agriculture's success.

Fostering that understanding in a politically charged, polarized environment requires honest dialogue in a neutral, independent venue such as the Farm Journal Forum, an event that has a distinguished history of assembling top-level leaders from industry, government, nonprofits and other organizations to discuss the most important issues facing agriculture.

The 2011 Farm Journal Forum will focus on "Securing Global Food Security with Sustainability" and will be held at the Capitol Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The event will kick-off with a reception the evening of Monday, Dec. 5 and offer a full-day of insightful speakers and discussion on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Key speakers include:
  • Jim Wiesemeyer, Senior Vice President - Informa Economics
  • Dan Glickman, Former Secretary of Agriculture and AGree Co-Chair
  • Howard G. Buffett, President - Howard G. Buffett Foundation
  • Tom Dorr, President & CEO - U.S. Grains Council & Food 2040
