Expanded Application Line

FJ 062 F10455 R1New Holland launches its line of Guardian sprayers, including three front-boom models with four-wheel hydrostatic drive and two rear-boom models with two-wheel mechanical drive. A 15' turning radius allows for easy maneuvering and headland turns.

The three front-boom Guardian models have up to 365 hp with a choice of tank sizes up to 1,600 gal. Boom widths span up to 120', and ground clearance is 6'. A balanced 50/50 weight distribution keeps the wheels firmly on the ground for maximum traction and minimum compaction. The hydraulic suspension provides stability and a smooth ride. The four-wheel independent suspension is hydraulically controlled.

There are two Guardian rear-boom sprayers available in 240 hp and 275 hp models. The rear-mounted spray boom measures up to 120'. Tank size is up to 1,200 gal. Ground clearance measures 48" and wrap-around windows provide visibility for the operator to see the boom.

Options include front-wheel assist and hydraulic tread adjustment, which allows the operator to make wheel spacing changes from the cab. The sprayers are built on four equal-sized tires for
improved ride, turning and weight distribution.

Flex Head for Demanding Field Conditions

FJ 062 F10455 combineThe Case IH 3020 flex head is built with the TerraFlex flotation system, which uses a flexible, no-friction torsion block to increase or decrease cutterbar pressure. The cutterbar positions the flex head as close to the ground as field conditions require and is light enough to float over the most adverse conditions. The cutterbar features 3" knives with heavy-duty knife guards.

The flex head can handle a wide range of field conditions, including soft and muddy or dry and compact, and features a six-bat reel with pickup fingers, stainless steel pans and auger trough. The auger is 26" in diameter, with fingers that run the entire length of the auger to ensure smooth, consistent crop feeding. An exclusive built-in Case IH rubber ring surrounds each finger so if a finger snaps, the ring holds it in place.

The 3020 flex head is equipped with new poly dividers that divide the crop and guide it to the cutterbar. For tall, tangled crop conditions, an optional long divider is available. The 3020 flex head is available in 20', 25', 30' and 35' sizes. For the 2011 models, Case IH will offer a special dealer-installed kit for in-cab hydraulic adjustment of flex head tension.
