New Control Console Interfaces With Spray Height Leveling System

November 15, 2011 08:26 PM

Topcon Precision Agriculture announces its new X30 control console is now compatible with the Norac UC5 spray height control system. The systems communicate via the X30 ISO virtual terminal which allows them to interoperate.

Existing users of both the Norac UC5 boom leveling system and the Topcon X30 control console can now have the systems functioning together. UC5 users benefit through having another terminal option in the Topcon X30. Existing X30 users benefit in the ability to add a Norac UC5 system to their sprayer and operate the system from the X30 console, without the need for a separate interface for the boom leveling system.

The UC5 is an ISOBUS certified system that uses ultrasonic sensors to control boom height by monitoring ground surface or top of crop, depending upon crop conditions and operator preference. The Norac UC5 uses no mechanical contact sensors to control boom height. The UC5 also has roll control capabilities for most sprayer models, which allows for increased boom stability in challenging terrain.
