Frame Secures Transfer Pump
An optional aluminum frame is now available for Pentair’s Hypro 1542 Series Polypropylene Transfer Pump. The frame is intended to ease handling and boost protection during liquid material transport. It secures transfer pumps that are commonly used for filling tanks on self-propelled sprayers and transferring chemicals. The new tubular frames are lightweight yet sturdy and offer ergonomic gripping positions, protecting the pump while also enabling sprayer operators to move the pump without holding the pump directly. Affordable On-Farm Nitrate Tests
Winter is the best time to check the nitrate content of your soil and dry forage. The Nitrate Elimination Company’s 200 Series Soil and Dry Forage Nitrogen Test Kits have been redesigned to allow farmers to accurately test soil and forage for nitrate levels. Enzyme-based reagents are used for nitrate detection, like previous models. But these reagents are premeasured to increase accuracy. This also makes the kits easier to use in the field. Enzyme-based phosphate tests and methods will be available in the coming months. Price: $30 and up for five tests.
