Oregano Salad Dressing

¾ c. vinegar
1 tblsp. salt
1 tblsp. sugar
1 tsp. oregano leaves
2 tsp. pepper
1 ½ tsp. sweet basil
2 cloves garlic, split
¾ c. salad oil

Combine all ingredients except oil. Let marinate overnight. Strain vinegar (I didn't do this.) and add oil. Shake vigorously.
Makes 1 ½ cups.
