Should I Plant Corn on Corn? Consider These Factors

Determining whether to plant corn on corn should be done carefully, Farm Journal field agronomist Ken Ferrie says in Episode 8 of Corn College TV Season 3.

"What I’m going to pay attention to are things like my herbicide program," Ferrie says. After a dry year, farmers should avoid planting corn again if their water table is low. Beyond crop rotation, factors to consider include the level of crop insurance in place on the operation.
