Special Tribute to Farmers and Ranchers
Amid your family Thanksgiving celebrations, we hope you can carve out time to watch the holiday program created to honor America’s farmers and ranchers: “Harvest of Thanks.”
Hosted by Clinton Griffiths and Andrew McCrea, the “AgDay” television special presentation features a short film highlighting Farmers Feeding the World, the new Farm Journal Agricultural Foundation initiative aimed at rallying all those in agriculture to help feed the hungry here and abroad. As part of the coverage, the show features a day in the life of harvest with Kip Tom, farmer leader for Farmers Feeding the World, and his Indiana farm family. Kayte Tom, Kip’s daughter, files the report.
The annual show also highlights harvest tours from across the country. You’ll visit a wheat grower in Kansas, a soybean producer in Indiana, a corn farmer in North Dakota and a sorghum producer in Nebraska. The show will air three times throughout Thanksgiving Day on RFD-TV (see times below) and on the “AgDay” national network. It will be 30 minutes that lift your heart—and that say “thank you” to you: America’s farmers and ranchers.
