The 2011 Farm Journal Forum will be a gathering place for industry and government leaders to have meaningful discussion and engage in open dialogue, a necessity in today’s politically charged environment. The 2011 Forum is focused on "Securing Global Food Solutions with Sustainability," conversation will be fostered among all stakeholders through speakers and engaging discussion. Key speakers include Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan) a ranking member of the Senate Ag Committee; Jim Wiesemeyer, senior vice president of Informa Economics; Dan Glickman, former secretary of Agriculture and AGree co-chair; Howard G. Buffett, president of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation and Tom Dorr, president and CEO of the U.S. Grains Council, to name a few.
Topics of discussion at the Forum include the Super Committee, the MF Global bankruptcy and what it means to agriculture, the now stalled Farm Bill, what AGree means to food security and round table panel discussions on global stress points and the impacts of the new Farm Bill.
