Rigitrac of Switzerland worked with Germany-based EAAT and TU Dresden to develop a tractor with electric power.
The Rigitrac EWD has individual electric wheel drives that can be used to steer each wheel individually. The torque is built up to improve traction, specifically useful in hillside applications. A power output totally 80 kW can be delivered to external implements.
