According to Andy Warhol each one of us will be famous for 15 minutes. Some of us may get more time and some of us may get less. Some so-called celebrities get way too much if you ask me. In the last week or so I have used up at least half of my15 minutes of fame allotment, that is if “fame” can be measured in terms of TV airtime. While I was in Kansas City on my mini-Midwest book tour I was invited to be a morning guest on WDAF. It’s amazing just how fast two and a half minutes fly by! Now, through the magic of the internet you too can see just how tired I can look after four days of no sleep...http://www.fox4kc.com/news/morningnews/wdaf-cartoonist-leigh-rubins-032510,0,6177884.story
The next day I was invited to appear on WIBW in Topeka which was also great fun. And last but not least KCOY in Santa Maria, Ca requested to do an interview before my event there on April 1st. http://www.kcoy.com/Global/story.asp?S=12242910 (to see the interview just click on the "Featured Video" link). By my calculations I only have about five and a half minutes of fame left. My goodness, where does the time go? I guess it’s true what they say...Fame really is fleeting.
