Okay, I admit it. When I was in elementary school I faked being sick so I could stay home and watch cartoons. (Oh, c'mon, like you never did it!) My kids, on the other hand, were never able to pull this off as my wife homeschooled them. It's a good thing they never tried. To paraphrase our 26th president, "Speak softly and carry a big thermometer."
