This may be a little different twist to your article, but it is still about making money.
5 years ago ,before 7dollar plus corn , we were getting close to the end of harvest and out of room-- a good problem to have, but the only catch was corn price was so low , and with drying expenses, not much over 1.25 was to be received after drying and storage. The only people to profit from this extra corn was the elevator and the LP gas man. We still had the picker, wagons, sheller, and a shovel. Filled the cribs that fall, shelled it out and trippled our money on the corn, sold the cobs to Green Poducts and had some entertainment for the neighbors. Bottom line---Do not need a lot of acres and technology to make money.
