Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie reflects on past Corn College events and shares what’s new this year.

This will be the fifth summer farmers, consultants and retailers journey to the Corn College campus, near Bloomington, Ill., to learn how to improve their corn crop.

Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie looks forward to the event each year.

"It has been exciting to see farmers come in here with such a desire to learn. You can see the alumni that learned things in years past and applied it to their farms."

For 2012, Ferrie says some of the topic highlights include resistance management, sprayer set-up and soil health.
