Case IH Steers Planter Trend

June 19, 2009

Case IH Early Riser 1260 planters now come in 32-row and 36-row configurations. For greater working widths, improved maneuverability, better stability during transport and frame flexibility, Case IH made dramatic changes to its planter bar. A steerable rear axle option is available in 36-row 20", 36-row 22", 36-row 30" and 32-row 30" spacings. Hydraulics are manual or automated, in which the steering wheel turn matches the rear axle turn. For transport, each of the four sections pulls like a trailer. They have four-wing flex and break in the middle for flexibility. They have a narrow 13'8" transport at speeds up to 19 mph. The scissor hitch has minimal tongue weight: 3,240 lb. Base price: $240,000 for 36-row; optional steerable rear axle, $15,000. Contact your Case IH dealer; www.caseih.com/na; (877) 422-7344
