“One of the tools we’ve found to be very helpful on the farm is a handheld GPS,” says Farm Journal Associate Field Agronomist Missy Bauer in episode 7 of Corn College TV.

In some situations, having the field data allows you to react in the same season to correct the problem. Or you can correlate the handheld gathered data with your calibrated yield map to help determine and fine tune management zones.
