As the iPad and other tablet computers continue to gain popularity in the agriculture industry, more and more agribusinesses are developing resources specifically for that format. Great Lakes Hybrids, the latest company to join the fray, recently announced a new interactive seed guide application specifically for the iPad.

Farmers can search for products by name, trait or maturity. They will have access to performance data and agronomic details, including a variety of color photos. Third-party information, including details about Genuity, Agrisure, Acceleron, Poncho/VOTiVO and more, is also accessible. The app is fully functional regardless of whether the Internet is available.

"We wanted to give our customers all of the information they need, right at their fingertips,
with the goal of helping them maximize the return on their seed investments and grow their business," says Doug Little, general manager of Great Lakes Hybrids.

The app is free and available for download at the iTunes store.
