T-L Introduces Variable-Rate Irrigation Options

February 2, 2013
By: Nate Birt, Top Producer Deputy Managing Editor google +

Variable-rate water application can now be achieved using T-L Irrigation pivot management control systems, the company announced this week. The added services are intended to help farmers gather data about their fields, improve crop production and conserve energy and water.

T-L has partnered with CropMetrics to offer the services.

Using variable-rate application allows farmers to provide multiple water prescriptions within a field using a single center pivot. Variable-rate technology captures information about factors such as the terrain and soil and turns it into useable data. Prescriptions developed with CropMetrics Precision Irrigation Management Services can be put into practice using T-L’s remote-management product Precision Link and the Precision Point III (PPC III) Control Panel.

A new, one-time CropMetrics VRI Rx App Lifetime License is part of T-L’s variable-rate application offerings.
