Witness to John Deere History

It’s not every day you can bear witness to history being made.

But earlier in May I was able to take part in an event that will serve as a benchmark for years to come. In East Moline, Ill., John Deere Harvester Works manufactured the company’s 500,000th combine. I was able to tag along as the farmer and his dealer took the Gold Key tour at the factory and were able to drive the combine for the first time.
