Russian Combines Coming to North America
Nov 01, 2011
For two years, Rostselmash, the Russian parent company of Versatile tractor and Farm King shortline, has been testing its Torum combines in North America. Starting in Western Canada and extending field work through the Mississippi Delta and Corn Belt, the company has worked to verify its plan of bringing the machines into these markets.

The marketing plan will follow its testing footprint. Torum combines will be made available in coming months in Western Canada, and the plan for introduction in the U.S. will follow.
The Torum is a rotary combine, and the unit tested boasts 485 hp. The crops used in their North American testing have included rice, corn, soybeans, flax and canola.
