Food Labeling Initiatives Put Tech at Risk

In 2013, 26 states introduced legislation that would require food products made from genetically modified crops to be labeled. Such legislation could change the landscape for seed research and development, and farmers’ future production practices. About 65% of the 1,408 farmers surveyed through the Farm Journal Pulse in June say they do not want labeling laws; 18% say they favor such legislation, while 17% are unsure.
