Jen Russell began her career at Farm Journal in 2010, copy editing the company's print publications. Since then, she has made the transition to full-time online editor, producing eNewsletters and managing content for AgWeb.com.
Jen came to the Midwest in 2007 to pursue a master's degree at the Missouri School of Journalism. Before that, she earned degrees in journalism and environmental studies at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Her original plan was to become an environmental journalist until she realized her true passion was editing.
Jen grew up on a small tree farm in western Pennsylvania, and while there nurtured a strong appreciation for rock music, Steelers football, french fries on salads and all things outdoors. She currently lives in Mexico, Mo., with her husband, two sons and a super-huggable pit bull named Daisy.
