Good Soil Conditions
In Piatt County, Ill., a farmer reports finishing corn planting on 4/7. Soil conditions were the best they have been in years. Desperately needing rain now some have stopped planting because of dryness. We planted deeper than ever have before to get to moisture. Our corn fared freeze last night pretty well and growing point is fine, another freeze warning tonight.
