Good morning I’m Clinton Griffiths. Whether its elections, the fiscal cliff, farm bill there's been plenty of talk out of Washington in 2012. But what lies ahead for American agriculture? CROP PROSPECTS:

It appears it could be another challenging year to grow corn. Noted Iowa state climatologist, Elynn Taylor, says based on history, expect a fourth consecutive year with below-trendline corn yields in the Midwest.

TAX TIPS:

Planning for changes is tax rates can be a grueling process. To help, we’re sharing tax tips from now through the end of the year. Today, Farm Tax expert Paul Nieffer shares advice for estate planning.

ANALYSIS:

The U.S. Winter wheat crop has had a rough start this year, but recent rain and snow may help stands improve. In analysis this morning, Al Pell takes a look at the wheat market and why it may be prudent to keep calm.

CLAMMING:

Farming comes with its risks and rewards, no matter what you raise or grow. For clam farmers in Florida, low market prices are creating challenging times. Hope is on the horizon as clam farmers are gearing up for the holidays and expect prices to be on the rise. Tyne Morgan takes us to Cedar Key, Florida to show us just what it takes to be a clammer.

In food and your family, it's a familiar sight on holidays-- restaurants and stores closed so employees can spend time with their families. One fast-food chain is urging its restaurants to start a new tradition by opening its doors on Christmas day. We end this morning with the end of the world.
