GOOD MORNING I'M CLINTON GRIFFITHS. ONE DAY AFTER THE PAGEANTRY OF INAUGURATION IN WASHINGTON, NOW IT'S TIME FOR LAWMAKERS TO ROLL-UP THEIR SLEEVES.

AMERICAN FARM BUREAU FEDERATION:

AT ITS ANNUAL DELEGATE SESSION LAST WEEK IN NASHVILLE THE AMERICAN FARM BUREAU FEDERATION CALLED ON CONGRESS TO ADOPT A FIVE YEAR FARM BILL AND AT THE SAME TIME TIGHTEN THE COUNTRY'S FISCAL POLICIES. IT WAS PART OF SEVERAL RESOLUTIONS PASSED BY THE GROUP. AGDAY'S MICHELLE ROOK LOOKS AT THEIR TOP PRIORITIES. THE PRESIDENT'S SPEECH MONDAY TOUCHED ON IMMIGRATION REFORM. HE'S MADE IT CLEAR THAT HE WANTS TO SEE A COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION BILL INTRODUCED IN CONGRESS SHORTLY AFTER HIS INAUGURATION.

IMAGRATION:

THE DAIRY INDUSTRY IS WATCHING THIS DISCUSSION VERY CLOSELY AS IT RELIES ON A MIGRANT WORKFORCE. ONE OF THE LEADING DAIRY GROUPS THINKS THE TIME MAY BE RIGHT IN WASHINGTON TO TACKLE IMMIGRATION REFORM. DAIRY TODAY EDITOR JIM DICKRELL HAS MORE.

CROP WATCH:

BETWEEN THE LACK OF SNOW AND THE COLD BLAST COVERING MUCH OF THE COUNTRY, WINTER WHEAT IS STRUGGLING. CINDI CLAWSON HAS DETAILS FROM THE AGDAY WEATHER-CENTER. GOOD MORNING CINDI.

IN AGRIBUSINESS TODAY, MARKETS IN THE U.S. WERE CLOSED MONDAY TO CELEBRATE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. TRADING RESUMES TODAY. MARKET WATCHERS ARE EAGER TO SEE IF CORN FUTURES HOLD FIRM. PRICES HAVE RALLIED SINCE EARLY JANUARY. LAST WEEK, TYNE MORGAN CAUGHT UP WITH MIKE FLOREZ IN FLORIDA FOR A HEAT CHECK ON CORN MARKETS.

ICE FISHING:

AS THE ARTIC AIR BLASTS THE LOWER 48 THIS WEEK, LAKES AND PONDS WILL BEGIN TO FREEZE. AND THAT OPENS UP OPPORTUNTIES FOR NORTHERN ANGLERS. ICE FISHING IS A SPORT TENS OF THOUSANDS OF BRAVE FISHERMEN PARTICIPATE IN EACH YEAR. THIS MORNING, JOE WILKINSON WITH THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES SHARES A FEW TIPS FOR GOOD FISHING. JOE REMINDS ICE FISHERMEN, EVEN WITH FRESH CLEAR ICE, TO STAY SAFE OUT THERE. HE SAYS REMEMBER SOME LAKES AND BACKWATERS HAVE CURRENTS THAT CAN ERODE ICE THICKNESS.

FOOD MERGERS:

IN FOOD AND YOUR FAMILY, MERGERS WERE BIG BUSINESS IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY DURING 2012. THERE WERE 26 DEALS WORTH MORE THAN A ONE BILLION DOLLARS.
