Farm Bill Budget Vizualizer

January 12, 2012

Do you want to know how much of your tax dollars are spent on agriculture programs? The Farm Bill Budget Visualizer, a project of the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future, uses interactive technology to share information in graphical form about the farm bill.

The technology, called "treemapping," uses nested rectangles to display data, which allows users to "see" the federal funding received by programs in the bill and examine how funding has been allocated across a range of issues, from public health to commodity grain production and conservation.

To see the Farm Bill Budget Visualizer, go to www.jhsph.edu/clf/programs/visualizer/.
