Farmer Expecting 60% of Average Yield

July 24, 2012
By: Jeanne Bernick, Top Producer Editor

What was initially a fantastic-looking crop is now falling apart fast, says Illinois farmer Steve Pitstick.

"Our crop was off to a fantastic crop. We were really excited about it until the 4th of July. Things are just falling apart really fast. I think I’m at around 60% of an average yield right now."

Pitstick attended Farm Journal’s 2012 Corn College event in Heyworth, Ill.
