Corn College attendee says his corn is hanging in there, despite the drought
In the midst of a lot of talk about dry weather and high temperatures at Corn College this week, Doug Recker had a positive story to share. So far, Recker says his dryland corn is hanging on, thanks to some timely showers. If they continue, he hopes to see corn yields in the neighborhood of 200 bu. per acre this fall.
Recker and his son Charlie travelled from Dyersville, Iowa, to attend Corn College this week. You can catch Recker’s corn update here as well as a special message from Charlie to someone he left behind at home.
