While he didn’t move onto the Saturday finals, Brandon Hunt of Oak Grove, Ky., earned a ninth-place finish in the 8,200-lb. Super Stock Tractor division at the 2014 Championship Tractor Pull.

Hunt is the third generation of pullers in his family, which farms 10,000 acres of corn and winter wheat double-cropped with soybeans in western Kentucky. The family also operates H&R Agri-Power, a Case IH dealership network with more than 10 locations stretching from southern Illinois to Alabama.

"My family’s been in pulling since the ‘70s," Hunt says. "My grandfather and my great-uncle pulled through the ‘70s. My dad pulled through the ‘80s till about ’84 and took a break whenever I came along. We got back into it in 2004 with one tractor and then about 2006 added another tractor for my brother. I’ve been lucky enough to be invited back to the farm show since I started pulling in 2004."
