Summer Event Agendas Posted

Apr 08, 2011

The Corn College team has been hard at work ironing out the details for this summer’s lineup of events which includes 4 Corn College sessions and the brand-new Soybean College.

The Corn College “Fundamentals” event will take place Aug. 3 and 4 in Coldwater, Mich, at the facilities of Farm Journal Associate Field Agronomist Missy Bauer. This two-day event is specifically geared for the first-time Corn College attendee.
For the second year in a row, Farm Journal is offering a Corn College session just for those who help farmers grow higher yields. This is the only Corn College session that offers CCA credits (10 credits are estimated to be offered). This one-day even on July 18 near Bloomington, Ill., will allow ag professional to tap the agronomic experience of Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie and Associate Field Agronomist Missy Bauer.
There will be two two-day events near Bloomington Ill., either July 20 and 21 or July 22 or 23. The curriculum caters to those farmers who have attended a Corn College event in the past by building on the principals and concepts of the Systems Approach.
Tuesday and Wednesday, July 19 to 20; two-day session for farmers
Thursday and Friday, July 21 to 22; two-day session for farmers
Soybean College
With a large focus on in-field diagnostics, let Farm Journal Associate Field Agronomist Missy Bauer teach you the secrets to soybean production. This day and a half event will focus on fundamentals, soybean growth and development, and take-home knowledge of how to raise better beans. The event is located near Coldwater, Mich. at the facilities of Missy Bauer.
Registration is open for all events, and in the past all Corn College events sell out. No on-site registration is available. Visit www.FarmJournalCornCollege.com for more details.
