Legacy Project Events

The Farm Journal Legacy Project is proud to crisscross the country this year, bringing hands-on workshops straight to farm country. The workshops are designed to help farm families take the critical first steps in starting the succession planning process for their operations.

Farm Journal Legacy Project Retreat

Nov. 13-15 in Omaha, Neb.
Join us for this first-ever event. Limited to just five families, this one-of-a-kind succession planning retreat will have you meeting with industry experts in business finance, law, estate planning, tax and family relations. During this two-and-a-half day retreat, every family will meet one-on-one with each expert and create the groundwork for a succession plan that is personalized and accommodates your family’s goals. Legacy Conference

Dec. 1-2: Kansas City, Mo.

Building on the success and popularity of Farm Journal Legacy Project workshops, Farm Journal offers families an opportunity to take their succession planning a step further. This Legacy Project Conference will span two days and will dive deep into the logistics of creating a sound succession plan and help begin answering your legal and tax questions.

Dec. 10: Oklahoma City, Okla.
Dec. 12: Garden City, Kan.

Launched in 2010, Farm Journal Legacy Project Workshops help families begin the process of transitioning their family farm to the next generation. You will receive hands-on training from three speakers who are experts in succession planning, tax and legal issues.
