Fence Check

March 17, 2009

Keep electric fences hot with one of the four new low impedance electric fence controllers. They all feature Zareba Systems' Lightning Guard protection system.

The two AC-powered fence controllers—the Zareba A75LI and the Red Snap'r LI75—can be used in containment or exclusion setups for all animals. Both units power through heavy weeds and are ideal for use with all types of electric fence wire. Under ideal conditions, they will charge up to 75 miles of a single strand of steel or aluminum fence wire. Output is 4 joules at 100 ohms of resistance.

The Zareba DC-powered B15LI is recommended for containing most animals and livestock. In ideal fence conditions, it charges up to 15 miles of a single strand of steel or aluminum fence wire and produces .5 joules of output energy. The B15LI uses a 12-volt battery.

The Red Snap'r DC-powered LIB60C is recommended for containing and excluding animals and livestock. It charges up to 60 miles of a single strand of steel or aluminum fence wire and producers 2 joules of output energy. The LIB60C uses a 12-volt battery.

The controllers are available at farm supply retail stores, prices vary depending on retailer. Contact: Zareba Systems (763) 551-1125 or visit the Web site www.zarebasystems.com.
