Cameras Mounted on Equipment Increase Safety

They are almost a necessity. That’s how Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie describes the cameras mounted on the rear and side of the grain used in the Farm Journal Test Plots.

“On these large grain carts, the cameras help keep the crew safe on the road,” he says. “It can be hard to see a car moving on the road or even someone walking behind you in the field.”
The cameras are mounted on the rear for visibility and also one is mounted on the auger spout to be able to see how the trailers are being filled.
“These cameras show the areas the mirrors can’t show you,” Ferrie concludes. “They are essential in our harvest.”
