For the second time, global machinery industry leaders came together for Agrievolution. This event was co-located with Ag Connect Expo and it began Monday, Jan. 11.
Trade group and machinery association officials from the U.S., China, Russia, Brazil, the European Union and more were included in the discussions.
Presentations were given to give the gathering a baseline understanding of the different markets before the discussion began. Then there will be developing discussions on how the various countries can work together to further the global ag machinery industry.
The following trends were referenced in almost all of the presentations:
-- Volatility and rapid change have changed the machinery industry since the first Agrievolution in 2009.
-- The policies and regulations set forth by governments impact agriculture globally
-- There's a general expectation for ag's profitability to grow in the near future
-- Globally there is still a great need for mechanization
-- Trade is a continuing driver for global machinery markets
All of the countries' had their own perspective from their ag industry. Since the first event of this kind in 2009, Agrievolution has grown to include more countries, including India, as well as attract leaders from the global ag machinery industry.
