Land Sale of the Week: Irrigated Acreage in Nebraska

Here is an interesting auction held Jan. 14 in Polk County, Nebraska. It consisted of 318 acres located southwest of Columbus.

Tract 1 featured 160 acres west of Osceola, 141 acres of which were certified irrigated acres. Total cropland was 149 acres. The irrigation well pump and motor were included in the offering. The center pivot irrigatton rig was not included. The tract sold for $1,405,000 or about $8,781 per acre.

Tract 2 consisted of 158 acres located south of Stromsburg. It consisted of 146 certified irrigated acres. The pump, gear, power unit and pivot were not included. The total selling price was $1,460,000 or about $9,241 per acre.
