The World Ag Expo
(WAE) is held every February in Tulare, Calif. Known by locals as the Tulare Farm Show, the World Ag Expo
features the latest in equipment, chemical, communication and production technology. WAE began in 1966 and from its founding has grown annually boasting over 1,600 exhibitors and nearly 2.5 million square feet of exhibits.
Seeing everything at the show in person is nearly impossible because of its size, so WAE uses social media to allow attendees to experience everything. Social Media also allows people that were not able to attend the show to have a virtual show experience. Along with their highly developed website, the WAE utilizes Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

page you can find photo and video coverage of the event. You can also read comments from attendees about what they enjoyed most The page also features news coverage of the event that can be watched online, such as local TV videos.
The WAE Twitter
profile features photos taken at the show, reminders about the show schedule and helpful show guide tips. You can witness things that you may have missed by viewing the pictures linked on Twitter. Also the farm show featured a Tweet Up (A Twitter networking event) this year. The event was held all day on Tuesday and gave Twitter users an opportunity to meet face to face as well as giving followers at home an opportunity to experience the show via Twitter.
The farm show also uses YouTube to aid the virtual experience. The YouTube channel
is a great way to experience exhibits you may have missed. WAE staff post videos of exhibitors ranging from tractors and implements, to chemicals, pharmaceuticals and milk production tools.
