Case IH Invested In Harvesting Success

Jan 25, 2014

With a $60 million investment, Case IH put a lot of resources into the harvest header lineup and manufacturing facilities in 2013.

Unveiled this past year, the Combine Header Center of Excellence is located in Burlington, Iowa. In additiona, new corn heads and draper heads were launched. That grand sum was roughly split with $30 million going toward the production facility and the other half going toward machinery R&D.

Located in Iowa, the facility can serve the customer base for this equipment with close-to-ship proximity. There the company manufactures corn headers, grain headers and draper headers. The facility employees 530, which has doubled since the plant was opened.

Case IH says it uses customer-driven design and competitive benchmark testing to improve its machinery. This include the TerraFlex draper with CentraCut center-mounted knife design.
