PLUM ISLAND SALE:

IN 2009 CONGRESS VOTED TO CLOSE THE AGING LAB AT PLUM ISLAND NEW YORK. THE 840 ACRE PROPERTY IS LOCATED ABOUT 100 EAST OF MANHATTAN. THE PLAN WAS TO EVENTUALLY SELL THE PROPERTY. WEST REBUILDS:

FOR THE RESIDENTS OF EL RENO, OKLAHOMA, THIS IS A SUMMER TO REBUILD - OR AT LEAST START THE SLOW, AGONIZING PROCESS. AS YOU MAY REMEMBER, THAT TOWN NEAR OKLAHOMA CITY WAS DEVASTATED BY A DEADLY TORNADO IN MAY. AMONGST THE SHATTERED LIVES AND HOMES IS THE BUSIEST LIVESTOCK AUCTION HOUSE IN THE STATE. IT TOO SUSTAINED MAJOR DAMAGE. IN THIS REPORT FROM OUR FRIENDS AT OKLAHOMA STATE'S SUNUP, LYNDALL STOUT TELLS US ABOUT THEIR EFFORTS TO RE-BUILD IN EL RENO.

HEALTHY WALNUTS:

PROSTATE CANCER IS A GROWING CONCERN AMONG MEN IN THIS COUNTRY. AS RESEARCHERS LOOK FOR SOLUTIONS, A NEW STUDY SUGGESTS A POPULAR TREE NUT MIGHT BE WORTH AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION.

RETAIL FOODS:

AND HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT AT THE GROCERY STORE? ACCORDING TO A NEW REPORT WE'RE ALL GOING TO BE DOING MORE OF IT.
