Showers are expected throughout the Midwest today, with heavy rain expected from the middle Mississippi Valley to the Great Lakes, USDA’s agricultural weather report says. Meanwhile, Iowa is drying out amid favorable conditions.

Severe storms are possible in the next few days in the northern and central High Plains, eventually bringing heavy rain to the northern spring wheat-growing areas.

Power Hour Noon LogoFrom June 29 through July 3, above-normal rainfall is expected from the upper Midwest to the central Atlantic Coast; in northwestern Washington; and near southern and eastern Texas. Drier conditions are expected from the southern High Plains to the coast of Oregon, as well as in New England.
